I’ve also had the pleasure of a multi-hyphenate career in the film, tv, and digital video space, where I’ve created content for W Magazine at Condé Nast, Nickelodeon, Nike, TodayTix, a handful of non-profits, and dozens of independent artists.
After a decade in New York, I now live in Los Angeles with my wife and our pup. I’m deeply obsessed with them both.

I’m a writer and witch whose work bridges the literary and the spiritual, the magical and the mundane. I’m best known for working as a consulting astrologer with writers and artists who know that creative living and the business of making a creative living don't have to cancel each other out. In my former life as a marketer and content director, I wrote and edited for the Sanctuary and CHANI astrology apps. I’m also a recovering academic — shoutout to everyone who’s ABD.
My first book, Heretic: A Memoir, came out in 2022 with HarperCollins, and my writing has appeared in ELLE, NYLON, O the Oprah Magazine, Allure, Literary Hub, and more.
I’m a born and bred Iowan (go Hawkeyes) and have lived in New York City for almost a decade, the last few years of which have been spent with my partner (and co-host!) Meg.

I’m a writer, photographer, and witch who is fueled by a deep curiosity for the unknown, the strange, and the indefinable. I love traversing liminal spaces and asking questions that don’t have easy answers. I also believe that our deep emotions, our griefs and our passions, are far more important than we typically give them credit for.
I bought my first tarot deck in 2016, after a crisis of faith brought on by leaving the evangelical church. Tarot has helped me find my voice and my strength, has connected me with incredible community, and has helped me learn to embrace my gifts as well as my flaws.
My first book, Finding the Fool: A Tarot Journey to Radical Transformation, is available wherever books are sold, and I have two more tarot books publishing in 2025. My work centers on personal transformation and collective care, and I do it all from the NYC apartment that I share with my partner Jeanna.
